Artist Statement

I express myself through humor with a bit of satire thrown in. My ultimate goal is to get a laugh out of the viewer. I am passionate about the human condition and social issues but I also think it's important that we humans do not take ourselves too seriously.

I use Copic Multi-liner inking pens to create my illustrations and then add color using a mixed media approach (water-color pencils and acrylic paint) or I scan my original illustration and then add color and other details using Adobe software.

I create illustrations for the Nutrition Science Dept. at Russell Sage College and have shown my illustrations at various venues throughout the Northeast. I have also written and illustrated several children's books.
